Pumpehuset finds new owners and reopens

Like the title says, Pumpehuset, the Copenhagen venue which had to close last year, has gotten new owners and is expected to re-open some time in the late summer. Seeing as this news is mostly interesting to people living in Denmark, I recommend those to read more at this location, seeing as I am much too lazy to translate it all right now. Here are the most important bits though, translated from the mouth of Ronnie Hansen, who some might now as the man behind the electronic music festival RAW:

Asked about what the plans for the house are:

[It's all about...] the subcultures that are actually big in Denmark, but just haven't got enough of a reputation to get their own place, like for instance jazz, electro and rock already have. It's about heavy metal, hip hop, dubstep, reggae [...]

Asked if the place will have a more electronic focus:

- No, I wouldn't say that. It will be more extreme. We won't quite go diving directly down into the indie-market, but we are going to focus a lot on the genres that could need a little more representation.
