Metallica are currently about 90% done recording an album in collaboration with Lou Reed. The album consists of ten songs, composed mainly by Reed but with Metallica contributing, and is supposed to sound like "a furious union of Reed's "Berlin" and Metallica's "Master Of Puppets"". Despite being near to completion, there are currently no official plans for the release, seeing as neither Metallica nor Reed are currently under contract.
