Putin puts punks in prison

We're a bit late to the party with coverage of this, but there's a story out of Russia starting to snowball, which you readers might be interested in if you don't know about it already.

It's about the arrest and imprisonment of three members of feminist punk-rock band Pussy Riot. The band interrupted a ceremony in Moscow's Cathedral of Christ the Saviour in February to play a protest song against the Putin regime, and has since then had members arrested who have been imprisoned without trial and refused bail.

You can read more about the story here. The case is gaining in attention as both other bands as well as Amnesty International are trying to put pressure on the Russian government to free the imprisoned band members. If you want to help out, you can sign Amnesty's petition here.
