Porcupine Tree frontman Steven Wilson to visit Vega soon

Posted by PP on 13/03/13

When Steven Wilson will play to a seated audience in Store VEGA on March 19th, the prog-rocker will showcase brand new, highly praised songs. Since the announcement of the show in VEGA, Steven Wilson has released a new album called "The Raven That Refused To Sing (And Other Stories)". The third solo album from the English musician has been well received, both within Denmark and internationally. The album, which was released on February 26th, received 5/5 stars in the English newspaper The Guardian, and here in Denmark, Gaffa rated it 5/6. Gaffa writes in their review:

Strong follow-up to "Grace For Drowning".

Steven Wilson's previous album "Grace For Drowning" exhilarated reviewers. BT and Undertoner.dk rated it 5/6 stars, while Gaffa gave it no less than 6/6 stars, and praised Wilson for raising the standards for his own musical prowess. Among other songs the album includes "Remainder The Black Dog", which is solid evidence for Wilson's talent of fusing different genres and musical expressions together. When Wilson graces Store Vega, he will play both new and exciting numbers as well as songs from his celebrated back catalogue - maybe even some cuts from his time with Porcupine Tree, for whom he was both lead singer and guitarist between 1987-2010 (the band is currently on hiatus).

Listen to the atmospheric title-track ”The Raven That Refused To Sing (And Other Stories)” and watch the impressive video.
