Copenhagen gets a 3rd new rock bar

After the recent openings of High Voltage and Voodoo Lounge, it would seem Copenhagen is better off than ever when it comes to bars for rock fans. But things don't stop there, oh no, because Escobar recently opened its doors on Blågårdsgade 2A, 2200 København N.

To celebrate an Opening Party is taking place today. There will be live music and between 16:00 and 18:00 there's free beer. The party will continue until midnight.

Furthermore, here's a description of Escobar from the people behind it:

"Escobar is a rock bar with great amounts of both madness, love and respect.

Our goal is to make all that visit us feel welcome and we encourage our guests to come as they are, and to feel free to drink, to burp and to yell. At Escobar you can behave as you like, as long as it isn't on the expense of somebody else.

Prices are fair and we offer a student discount.

Opening hours are every day from 14:00 to 02:00 (first month only until midnight though).

The music will depend partly on who's working on the day. During the day we are likely to listen to Tom Waits, The DOors, David Bowie, Jimi Hendrix and Pink Floyd. During later hours it could be Faith No More, Rage Against The Machine, Tool, Muse, I'll Be Damned and a bit of Slayer for the ladies. A spoonful of Monster Magnet and a dash of Gojira could also find its way into the mix. Our guests are welcome to request music and maybe we'll play it if we think it fits the mood. And these were of course EXAMPLES, that naturally don't cover the infinite universe of music.
