You guys remember Kick-Ass from three years ago? The action comedy about regular teenager Dave Lizewski, who decides he wants to become a superhero, which was an all-out tongue-in-cheek satire/parody on pretty much any other superhero film? Well, yours truly loved that film back in the day, and now, the franchise is ready with a sequel to the success, simply called Kick-Ass 2. Check out this trailer below:

If that's anything to go by, then the August 29th premiere will be something to look forward to. It seems that the screenplay follows the same recipe of success as its predecessor: just the right amount of tongue-in-cheek and funny jokes contrasted with a serious story on the background for it to work. But in the end, how serious can a movie be where the evil villain is genuinely called motherfucker. It's stuff like this that made Kick-Ass great, so look forward to seeing Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Chloë Grace Moretz, and Jim Carrey all in prominent roles when the movie opens on August 29th in all nearby cinemas.
