Selim Lemouchi of The Devil's Blood passes away at 33

It is with great sadness that news has emerged this evening that Selim Lemouchi, of the fantastic The Devil's Blood and since their split, Selim Lemouchi & The Enemies, has passed away at the age of 33. No word is apparent yet on the cause.

His passing is a genuine loss for the metal scene. As the founder of the critically accalimed The Devil's Blood, the Dutch group arguably kick-started the currently vogue occult/psychedelic doom rock phenomenon which has gone on to spawn countless more acts in recent years. Their 2009 opus "The Time Of No Time Evermore" is a stand-out album which was followed by "The Thousandfold Epicentre" (2011) and "III: Tabula Rasa or Death and the Seven Pillars" (2013) before his last effort under the Selim Lemouchi monicker, "Earth Air Spirit Water Fire", was released in December last year to top reviews.

Rest in peace.
