VICE Magazine’s music arm Noisey is gearing up to present a 7-part documentary series called "NOLA: Life, Death and Heavy Blues from the Bayou", examining the people and culture that helped foster the legendary NOLA scene made famous by bands such as Crowbar, Down and Eyehategod.

The series will feature appearances from the likes of Philip H. Anselmo, Mike IX Williams, Jimmy Bower, Kirk Windstein, Pepper Keenan and Sammy Duet, among others, discussing the bands, Hurricane Katrina, drugs, suicide, murder and records that helped shape the New Orleans, LA sound. The series will be aired on Thursday via the Noisey website, with the premiere set to September 16th.
