Nightwish reveal title, artwork & release date for new album

Finnish symphonic metallers Nightwish have set March 30th as the release date for their new album, which has been christened ”Endless Forms Most Beautiful” and is the first of the band’s studio albums to feature Dutch vocalist Floor Jansen. Long time drummer Jukka Nevalainen will be forced to sit out on the recording of the album due to health issues, with Kai Hahto (of Wintersun) stepping in for him.


Primary composer & multi-instrumentalist Tuomas Holopainen offered the following cryptic statement regarding the album’s concept:


’There is grandeur in this view of life, with its several powers, having been originally breathed into a few forms or into one; and that, whilst this planet has gone cycling on according to the fixed law of gravity, from so simple a beginning endless forms most beautiful and most wonderful have been, and are being, evolved.’ - Charles Darwin, 'The Origin Of Species’
