Helhorse announces new bassist; confirms recording of 3rd album

Helhorse have announced Theis Roed Thorgersen as their new bassist. He had the following to say about it:

To put it briefly, it’s insane that I’ve been chosen. When I wrote to the band the first time, I saw it more as a personal challenge than actually believing I’d become the new Helhorse member. There are still days when I don’t quite believe it myself.

I’ve been received well by the entire band, so now I’m looking forward to being a part of this madness that is Helhorse.

The band also confirmed that they’ve entered the studio with renowned producer Michael Beinhorn to record their third album. Their manager Jim Würtz Hemmje offered some insight:

The boys from the band played with a lot of ideas about which producer would be cool to work with. There were a lot of them under consideration - and as the dialogue went on, the producers became crazier and crazier. But everyone kept returning to this Michael Beinhorn several times, and when I looked at his profile I thought: ‘Yeah, keep dreaming!’. But at the same time, I’m sure we all were thinking ‘Damn, that could be cool’.

We mused over it, and I talked with Mikkel [Wad Larsen - the vocalist, ed.] about how we could get hold of his contact information, so we could at least write to the man. I mean, if you don’t take any chances, you’ll stay where you are…

Mikkel found his contact information, so I sent him an e-mail and a download link with Helhorse’s discography. It took one hour, and I received a confirmation from Wetransfer that Michael had downloaded the material. Then I got an e-mail from him a couple of hours later, which read: ‘Hi Jim, this music makes me smile and I haven’t smiled for a while’. So I thought, ‘Fuck… Have I just snatched Michael Beinhorn?!?’. Now he’s here, and I think this is going to be a wild album.

Helhorse promise we’ll be seeing them at various festivals this summer, and that new songs will be played on those occasions. More information regarding the new album will be provided in the coming months.
