Danish thrashers Essence have unveiled the details for their third studio album. Entitled ”Prime”, the effort is set to be released via Spinefarm Records on October 02nd, and will allegedly ’narrow the gap between the poppy energy of The Offspring and the youthful vehemence of Metallica and Slayer’. The album will contain the following songs:

02. “Thunder Prayer”

03. “No Sleep ‘Till Def”

04. “Heart of Gold”

05. “Modern Heroes”

06. “Untouchable”

07. “Flawless”

08. “Prime”

09. “Watch It Burn”

10. “Triumph”

Check out the artwork here. You can also preview the record via audio snippets from six of the songs below, while the lead single and an accompanying music video will be released on August 14th. That will be preceded by a stream of ”No Sleep ‘Till Def” on July 17th.

The band is scheduled as main support to Toxic Holocaust at Beta in Copenhagen on August 02nd as part of the annual Dirty Days of Summer concerts. Fellow Danes Impalers are also on the bill.
