27 dead, 155 injured at Goodbye To Gravity's release party

Dark news from Romania this morning, as at least 27 people are reported to have died and up to 155 injured - some of them critically - after a fire broke out at the Colectiv venue in Bucharest, where Goodbye To Gravity were playing a release show for their new album "Mantras Of War".

The blaze reportedly broke out when fireworks used as part of a pyrotechnics show ignited highly flammable materials in a column and the venue's ceiling. An explosion then followed when panicked concert goers opened the emergency exit, letting in a sudden surge of oxygen. The evacuation was then complicated by the existence of just one emergency exit, and some people are thought to have lost their lives in a stampede.
