ATDI working on new music; to tour Europe in March/April

Posted by AP on 22/01/16

Although At the Drive-in have been playing re-union shows for some years now (we even attended this disastrous concert in London, United Kingdom in 2012), the possibility of a new album from them has been something of a far-flung idea — until now. Yesterday the band officially confirmed that they are working on new music, potentially to be used towards the follow-up to 2000’s ”Relationship of Command”. They also announced a world tour, which includes the following European performances:

March 26th - Vicar Street, Dublin, IRE

March 27th - Roundhouse, London, UK

March 29th - Trianon, Paris, FRA

March 30th - Palladium, Cologne, GER

March 31st - Melkweg, Amsterdam, NET

April 01st - Ancienne Belgique, Brussels, BEL

April 02nd - Atelier, Luxembourg, LUX

April 04th - Columbiahalle, Berlin, GER

April 05th - Arena, Vienna, AUT

April 07th - Fabrique, Milan, ITA

April 08th - Impetus Festival, Lausanne, SWI

April 10th - Razzmatazz, Barcelona, SPA

Support on those dates will be provided by Le Butcherettes.

A headlining show at this year’s Groezrock (April 29th and April 30th) is still a possibility, though with the announcement of these dates, somewhat more unlikely. It remains to be seen if Danish fans will have the opportunity to see them live at one of the country’s summer festivals, although given that the group will be touring in the United States & Canada in June, the only real candidate for capturing their services would be Roskilde Festival.
