Charlie Simpson, solo songwriter act and frontman in Fightstar and Busted, has a new band called Once Upon A Dead Man.

The band is a family affair, including Edd Simpson (of Union Sound Set, formerly Prego) and Will Simpson (of Brigade), and is completed by their friend Simon Britcliffe (also of Union Sound Set).

The group will release a debut EP titled "Concepts and Phenomena" on April 1st. So far there's no music to be heard, but the band's facebook page is tagged as 'Indie-Electro', and a quote over at upsetmagazine.com describes them as

"inspired by artists such as Jimmy LaValle and Mark Kozelek, The National, American Analog Set and the Postal Service."
