Haven Festival sees the light of day – The National as headliner

Posted by MIN on 17/11/16

Yesterday, Aaron and Bryce Dessner, members of alternative/indie rock band The National, announced that they were collaborating with Claus Meyer and Mikkeller Brewery to create a new festival called Haven with the help of Beatbox Entertainment.

The festival will take place on August 11th and 12th at Refshaleøen, Copenhagen, and it will feature everything from experimental art and music (genres spanning from rock to contemporary classical) to exciting types of food and beverages. The first few names for the festival have already been announced, and besides having The National as the festival’s headliner, both the classical band Danish String Quartet and the electronic duo Mouse on Mars will be playing.

At the moment, no information about tickets can be found, but read more information about the festival at the official Facebook event. And while you’re at it, refresh your memory with our review of The National’s latest album, ”Trouble Will Find Me” from 2014, here.
