Copenhell, the Danish open air metal festival taking place at the Refshaleøen industrial area of Copenhagen between June 22nd and June 24th, has finalised the line-up for this summer’s festivities, bringing the total number of artists presented to 41.

In the big guns’ department, Bay Area thrash legends Slayer have been selected to close the main Helvíti stage on Saturday, June 24th. Joining them in slightly smaller letters are the Orlando, FL-born arena rockers Alter Bridge, Savannah, GA-based stoner metallers Baroness and Morris Plains, NJ’s masters of chaos The Dillinger Escape Plan — their last-ever concert in Denmark.

Appearing further down the poster are the British metalcore act Architects, German power metallers Powerwolf, Århusian death/thrash metal crew Hatesphere and Black Star Riders — the hard rock band carrying on the legacy of Thin Lizzy.

Joining those names are the El Cajon, CA’s progressive/psychedelic metal old-timers of Psychotic Waltz, the San Antonio, TX-born alternative metal group Nothing More, the enigmatic Polish extreme metallers Batushka, whose members remain undisclosed, the British old-school death metal crew Memoriam — featuring former members of Bolt Thrower and Benediction — metalcore start-up The Raven Age — with Iron Maiden bassist Steven Harris’ son George Harris on guitar — and Danish folk metal tribe Huldre.

Last but not least, the up-and-coming Danish artists Bæst, Ghost Iris, Seven Thorns and Slægt also join the bill.
