Satyricon who are releasing their ninth album on September 22nd through Napalm Records have now revealed further details about the album. It is called "Deep Calleth Upon Deep" and is described as "a wholesale reinvention and a brand new era in SATYRICON history". You can check out the album art below, which consists of a drawing from 1898 by the Norwegian artist Edvard Munch. Front man Satyr has the following comment about the album:

"Approaching this release, what I always kept in mind is that either this is the beginning of something new or it’s gonna be my last record. If this is going to be the last, then it needs to be something special. If there are more records, then I’d better make sure that this is so different from the last one that it feels like a new beginning. I think it’s really, really dark, very spiritual and filled with confidence and energy."

The band will be touring Europe in support of the album, including two Danish stops. The first one is at Pumpehuset in Copenhagen on October 17th. Tickets for the Copenhagen show are on sale via Billetlugen.dk for 280 DKK (+ fees), with more information available in the official Facebook event.

The second one is at Train in Århus on October 19th. Tickets for the Århus gig can be bought via Ticketmaster.dk for 250 DKK, while the Facebook event is found here.
