Copenhell 2018 unveils line-up for new warm-up day

Posted by AP on 22/02/18

As previously announced, this year Copenhell will include a warm-up day on Wednesday, June 20th, featuring performances by five artists on the smallest Pandæmonium stage. Those artists have now been confirmed:

One of these is Neurosis, who cut an excellent figure at last year’s Roskilde Festival after releasing “Fires Within Fires” in 2016 (reviewed by us here). The Oakland, CA-based noise/post-metal legends are certain to deliver a grim and grandiose conclusion to an evening which also includes a performance by Turnstile, whose upcoming album, “Time & Space”, was recently highlighted as one of our most anticipated releases of 2018.

Also joining the two acts for the warm-up festivities are the Swedish hard rock stalwarts Mustasch, the ‘80s grunge icons L7, who were extremely influential to the ‘90s riot grrrl movement and revived themselves from a hiatus in 2014; and the regular party starters of the festival, Red Warszawa.

Although the entire festival area will not be open for the warm-up day, those looking to prepare their lungs and livers for the three days of metal ahead can rejoice in the fact that the legendary Biergarten will be fully operational into the late hours.

Note that tickets for the warm-up day must be purchased as an add-on costing 100 DKK on top of the regular festival ticket — click here for details. You can find the official Facebook event for the festival right here.
