Lamb Of God & more confirmed for Copenhell 2019

Copenhell — Denmark’s premier open air metal festival taking place at the Refshaleøen industrial area of Copenhagen between June 19th and June 22nd — is in a Christmas mood this morning, adding a swathe of new artists to its 2019 line-up.

In the headliner/subliner department, we have the legendary Slash, featuring Myles Kennedy & The Conspirators, making a long-awaited Danish appearance to satisfy fans of classic rock. Joining him amongst the big letter rockers will be Clutch and Stone Temple Pilots, while the more metallically disposed among us will be drooling at the prospect of Lamb Of God coming to reprise their astonishing show at the 2012 edition of the festival. Last but not least, attendees can look forward to raising their horns with Amon Amarth.

Further down the bill, we have Kvelertak making their first appearance at the festival since 2011, now with a new vocalist in Ivar Nikolaisen. Other dispensers of explosive energy to look forward to next summer are the crossover thrash slingers of Municipal Waste, the metallic hardcore brutes of Terror, the Swedish hardcore punk innovators of Refused, as well as Sheffield, United Kingdom’s metalcore stalwarts While She Sleeps, who were forced to pull out of the line-up last summer.

There is extreme metal on the menu, too, courtesy of the Austrian Belphegor, while fans of stoner and sludge metal should be pleased to see Orange Goblin and the Danish newcomers of Konvent added to the festivities next summer.

And true to tradition, Copenhell is not shying away from including something a bit different on the bill, either; the ultra-hyped ambient folk project Heilung will be there, as will the reggae-metal party-starters of Skindred and the experimental and wildly energetic rapcore outfit The Fever 333.

Tickets for the festival are on sale here, while more information can be found in the official Facebook event.
