Ill Nino Signs With Cement Shoes Records

Ill Nino drummer Dave Chavarri has posted the following message on the band's official web site:

"OK, everybody, we want to fill you in on what's presently going on with Ill Nino. Let me start by saying that the split between Roadrunner and Ill Nino was an amicable split, and that we're thankful for all the good times we had with Roadrunner in the past 5 years.

"After the release and in support of 'One Nation Underground', we toured around the world for 12 months and had many sold-out shows in Australia, Europe, the U.S. and Mexico. 3 months after the release of 'O.N.U.', we felt we weren't getting the proper attention and support from Roadrunner that we had gotten on the past two releases. Since Ill Nino was no longer a priority at Roadrunner, Ill Nino's management negotiated with Roadrunner so they could be released from the recording contract, and ILL NIÑO was released.

"A brand new beginning for us, we're all very excited to tell everyone that we have just signed a deal with Cement Shoes/Universal. Cement Shoes is the brainchild of Dan Catullo who is the founder of Coming Home Sudios.

"At the moment Ill Nino is in Los Angeles, California recording a five-song EP with two brand new Ill Nino songs, and three cover songs from bands that we respect and love! This five-song EP is to be released this coming fall on Cement Shoes/Universal, just as a taste of what's to come in spring 2007. After we finish recording and mixing this EP, we will start rehearsals for our upcoming European Festival tour that starts on August 10th and brings us to Hungary, Czeck Republic, Poland, Holland, and Denmark.

"We just want to say thanks to all of our friends and fans for always supporting ILL NIÑO. We would not be here if it wasn't for you!!"
