According to several rumours circulating the net, Linkin Park's new album will be released during the spring. In a recent interview with the Rolling Stone, Chester Bennington said the band has cut the possible songs down from 120 to about 16 and to MTV he said that the nu-metal sound from their previous albums is completely gone. He also explained that the new album is a mix of punk, classic rock, and vintage hip-hop beats.

I don't know about you guys, but to me 'writing' 120 songs for a CD sounds like just hammering through so many songs that by the rules of probability at least few of those will be good. Is this what you do when you appear to be lacking in talent?
