Jo Quail — the British electric cellist specialising in creating loud and noisy post-rock with her instrument of choice — has signed with By Norse Music and will release her new opus “The Cartographer” through the label on May 06th. It consists of these six tracks, or movements, as they are referred to as:

05. “Movement 5”

06. “Movement 6”

Pre-orders for various formats of the record are available here, but no music from the effort has premiered yet due to the fact that she will debut the piece live at the approaching Roadburn Festival taking place in Tilburg, Netherlands between April 21st and April 24th. You can, however, watch the first part of a documentary detailing its creation via the festival’s website below.
