Vocalist Jake Dieffenbach leaves Rivers of Nihil

Reading, PA-based progressive death metal horde Rivers Of Nihil have announced the departure of their frontman and founding member Jake Dieffenbach. For the foreseeable future, bassist Adam Biggs will be taking over the lead vocal duties, being one of the chief lyricists of the band already.

Danish fans can look forward to watching the group live in its new configuration at Stengade in Copenhagen on November 23rd, with Fallujah, Allegaeon, Inferi and Harbinger providing support. The show is completely sold out, with more information available in the official Facebook event.

The concert belongs to a larger European tour the five artists are doing together, the full itinerary for which is listed in our dates section.

Dieffenbach’s final album with Rivers Of Nihil thus turned out to be last year’s “The Work” — watch the official music video for the track “The Void from Which No Sound Escapes” from it below.
