Deftones have set Fall 2008 as the tentative release date of their follow up to 2006's "Saturday Night Wrist".

Chino Moreno said the material the band has come up with so far is "dance-y" and "way uptempo-ish, which is kind of neat.

Abe (Drummer) is playing really, really fast, and I like that," Moreno said. "It's way more energetic. Our last couple of records have been more midtempo, which is the stuff I tend to write. But on this record, everything is more snappy.
