Roskilde Festival fixes queue system, finally!

Posted by PP on 25/05/09

Everyone who has been at Roskilde Festival will remember the painful 10-12 hours of queuing in front of the gates the night before they open. We complained about it loudly in our Roskilde feature last year, and it seems that things are changing this year.

The gates to camping area still open at 8am on the Sunday morning. But it is now possible to exchange your ticket to a wrist band already on Friday the 26th of June at Tivoli, Copenhagen between 09:00 and 19:00 (only at the entrance of Tietgensgade though). You will also receive a guaranteed free entry to Tivoli that day where Veto will be playing.

If you can't make it to Tivoli, don't fret. You can also change your ticket into a wrist band starting from 8am on Saturday June 27th at both entrances.

Once you have your wrist band you will have access to the limbo zone starting at 8am on Saturday morning. There will be drinks, food and toilet facilities in the limbo zone this year.

The festival has also requested that you refrain from toppling the fences before 08:00 on the morning of the 28th of June (Sunday). PLEASE ABIDE TO THIS RULE AS THE FESTIVAL HAS MADE AN EFFORT TO EASE UP THE QUEUING SYSTEM!
